Through the wonder that is Twitter, I was sent “Killin Me” by Stephanie Guzman and had the pleasure to be taken on a meaningful ride of quality music.
Guzman, DreamWorld Records Latina songstress, brings music back to life with her sultry vocals and expressive lyrics.
Melodic is the sound; allurement is the effect and realizing you want more is the outcome. Whether released through high-powered subwoofers or your standard headphones, her sound is nothing short of timeless and unique.
Stephanie Guzman hails from Minneapolis, Minnesota. Born of Hispanic decent, “I take great pride in my Hispanic heritage and my culture. I’m grateful to be able to share my voice with the world, but I’m really looking forward to being able to be a role model that my fellow Latina’s can relate to and embrace.”
Now represented by Johnny Miskeen (CEO of DreamWorld Records) The magic is happening now, as we speak; exclusive producers, writers and a creative team are working diligently on the sound that will bring the music industry to its knees. Fans across the world have been anticipating her arrival, and soon the wait will be over.
DreamWorld credits “Word-Of-Mouth” buzz and online networking sites like Twitter and Facebook for her current success and the relationships built with musics’ players, Power House DJ. DJ Ill Will began promoting Stephanie and her single “Somethin Serious” within a few days of its initial release. DJ Ill Will describes her voice, “She sounds like Mariah Carey and Amanda Perez’s voices had a baby together.”
DreamWorld Records CEO, Johnny Miskeen plans on taking a different approach with the Star that is Stephanie Guzman. “The music industry has changed. Major labels are confused as to how they can approach the business aspect of what the music industry has become in the last decade. I on the other hand, am not confused.”
What I like about her voice is that it is not over the top (with cliché ad libs) and it doesn’t have a diva-themed message. Her voice is so pure and refreshing, it’s a throwback to what a quality singer should sound like. In my opinion, she has so much cross over appeal and with her focused management team this could be the early makings of a great artist.
Staying true to her mission statement, expect to hear her music released in Spanish and English.
